About

The Board of Cosmetology controls the regulation of the practice of electrology in the State of Nevada. A license to practice electrology is granted only to those who pass written and practical examinations.

In addition to the state requirements, I adhere to the standards set by the (AEA) American Electrology Association. They have established specific standards and practices for the profession including a national board certification credential known as Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE). The voluntary credential of CPE has a continuing education mandate the practitioner must follow in order to maintain the CPE status.

I received my credentials from New Jersey's prestigious Ocean County College under the auspices of the Department of Nursing and Allied Health. I would like to acknowledge Dr. Mary Jean McGivern my mentor, teacher and friend, for without whom I would not be the electrologist I am today.

For your protection, in my practice, I follow the universal sterilization procedures set forth by the American Electrology Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

I use the most up-to-date permanent hair removal technology available. Apilus is a world renowned manufacturer of computerized epilators. I now have in my office their state of the art "xCell Pur" epilator. It uses the ultra rapid 27.12 Mhz frequency and offers unrivaled comfort in both Thermolysis (shortwave) and Blend modalities.
